Life Skills for October - Goals in the Community

When a student learns Songahm Taekwondo, the focus of his or her training is not only on physical strength and growth, but also on important skills that will help lead to personal successes in life. These Life Skills will benefit students inside the classroom and beyond. After all, a healthy individual is characterized by a strong body and a strong mind so that you can attack any curve ball life throws your way.
Each life skill taught through ATA curriculum is based on The Songahm Spirit of Taekwondo oath, a promise each student makes at the beginning and end of each ATA event to prepare them for what lies ahead.

October’s Life Skills are Goals, specifically your Goals in the Community. This month your instructors, like Mr. Harrison Stauffer,  will go over your Goals in the Community and exactly what this means or could mean for each Taekwondo Students.  There are so many things each student can do, from tiny tiger to adult in their community, from cleaning a park, volunteering to help a another student in a class you do well in, or even helping a neighbor rake the leaves.  You can even take a garbage bag while walking through the neighborhood. Pick up any litter along the way. As a by-product, you can get some exercise! Set a Goal for yourself this month and work to achieve it. 

Amazing things can happen when you take the time to think about others and your community, why don’t you set a Goal and try it!
